Longterm bycicle tour: Lenggries – Kochelsee – Walchensee – Jachenau (perfect with electric bike)

You start the tour in Lenggries and ride via the western high altitude trail to Arzbach and Steinbach. From there you ride to Wackersberg. In Wackersberg you pass the church, turn left and follow the road to Bad Tölz – Blomberg. After the underpass a bike path, running parallel to the federal highwaytrail, leads you via Bad Heilbrunn to Benediktbeuern.

Here are many opportunities to rest. Take a snak at the monastery beer garden or vistit the monastery church - it`s always worth it. Now it goes on to Kochel, past the lake Kochelsee and to the so called „Kesselberg“. Here you need all your stamina to get up the long winding bike trail. After the effort the view to the Walchensee is your reward!

From Urlfeld you follow the trail close to the lake and come to Sachenbach. There was the Vikings village from the film „Wicky and the Mighty Vikings“ that has been filmed in this breathtaking landscape. After a short while you turn off the path. The forest road goes some meters uphill and at the other side downhill to Jachenau. Here you have again the possibility for a snak. Via Leger and Wegscheid you come back to Lenggries by following the Isar path.
