Tips for hikers

Hiking clothing:

  • well-fitting hiking shoes
  • Hiking trousers
  • Functional shirt
  • Outdoor jacket
  • Headgear
  • Sunglasses

Important: Walking poles must not be missing on any hiking tour. They can help keep you from slipping so easily.

What should not be missing in a hiking backpack?

  • Hiking map
  • possibly a GPS device or a GPS watch
  • Mobile phone (in case of emergency please dial the emergency number 112)
  • Emergency set
  • Changeable shirt
  • Rain jacket
  • Umbrella (in rainy weather)
  • Meals: Drinks, fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, sports bar, grape sugar
  • Sunscreen

For the transition periods, it is good if you also have a hat, headband, thin gloves and a headlamp with you.

General information:

The most important thing about a hiking tour, however, is to be able to assess yourself well and prepare yourself well in advance for the tour. Leave with the landlord which tour you want to go. In addition, it is always important to inform yourself in advance about the opening hours of the mountain huts and the weather and, if there is a risk of thunderstorms, to stop the tour earlier and hike back to the valley. If you plan to stay in a cabin, we recommend booking the place in advance. Please do not step off stones and stay on the marked paths. If you are unsure about a tour, feel free to ask in person or by phone at the Tourist Information.

We are happy to help you at any time.
