The wearing of Tracht (traditional dress) is common and it is custom to attend church "im guad´n Gwand" (fully attired in traditional dress)on Sunday. Our guests can witness the inhabitants of Lenggries attired in traditional dress on other occasions such as Fronleichnam, Maria Himmelfahrt, Leonhardi or Kirchweih. The old "Volkstracht", dating back to the 18th century can be seen in the Heimatmuseum Lenggries as well as in the historical meeting room of the Gemeinde (City Hall).
